Few days ago Wayne was going through his audio files and he sent me his version of Nilsson`s "Without You" (number 1 in UK & USA 1972!), that he recorded back in 2006 as a birthday present. If you would like to hear it, you can download the mp3 exclusively on
www.waynehussey.de

But please note: This song was recorded ONLY as a birthday present and never intended for serious release!
To quote Wayne: "It`s a pretty corny version" (but a catchy tune)
Enjoy!

I think if he recorded himself rasping his arse with sandpaper while humming the birdie song some folk would praise it.

I've always been a fan of sandpaper skiffle. Maybe not as good as lordys spoons, mind you.

I recorded this 3 1/2 years ago for my mother in law as a birthday present. It's one of her favourite songs. Being the cheapskate that I am I thought I'd rather record her a song than spend money on something that may ultimately just get tossed into a drawer and forgotten about. As Petra said it was never intended for release but I recently found it again and thought there maybe a few people that may be interested to hear it. It has absolutely nothing to do with The Mission, Lordy, so you judging it on that basis and your snide response is as unfortunately predictable as Liverpool losing in the FA Cup to Reading!

He could call the CD 'The Weavers Hobbies'

That could be a marketable product. Song title suggestions please, based on your perception.

Agreed, Gagliem - but as always I suppose we have to expect the same old cynicism, and the same old tired and typical remarks.

As already stated, this was not done as a "Mish" song, or, for that matter, anything other than a gift. Those of us who enjoy listening to Mr H do other types of songs other than Mish stuff may actually LIKE them irrespective of what those songs are. Reading through the thread regarding cover versions, a lot of the songs mentioned there are not typical "Mish" type songs either, but that doesn't make them rubbish, or that we can't request Mr H to do a cover version of them.

Mr H has proved in his recent solo tours just how versatile he can be.

Thanks again, Petra, for giving some of us who want it, the opportunity of hearing something different performed by OGL.

Can't see why there is a need to do that. The thread was about Mr H letting us who were interested hear something different he did a while ago, and did only as a special gift.
Don't think there was a problem at all until the inevitable jibing and sarcasm set in.
