As a born and bred Brummie I can recommend a couple of places - I wouldn't recommend anywhere immediately in the vicinity of the venue though .... for various reasons.... |

In my experience,finding a pub at all near the venue is a challenge in itself,although the last time I was there I found a shop around the corner that proudly advertised in the window that it sold alcohol till four oclock in the morning!

The good lady and I are staying at the Radisson hotel,thats the big skyscraper on the roundabout next to the O2,the bar is quite nice,but its four or five quid a pint. Probably cheaper than the gig though....

The Wellington's the best real ale pub in the city centre by a mile - but it is a bit far away from the 02. The Tap and Spile up on the canal off Broad Street is a good bet as well - and marginally closer.

Agree its a walk , but only 15 mins. Usual meet place for pre stuffies drinks......I usually park nr the 02 and then get completely lost looking for the welly. So Colin , I will bow to your local knowledge !
