We just wanted to remind you that Wayne starts his run of summer solo shows in Europe this coming weekend in Sofia on Saturday (10th). Dates in full below.

We’ve also heard that Wayne was very close to canceling his upcoming shows in Rotterdam and Essen in protest at Holland’s World Cup victory against Brazil recently and Germany’s resounding win against England but as spain have progressed to the final he has been somewhat appeased and the shows will go ahead as scheduled.

We here at MWIS have also been lucky enough to hear a few things that Wayne has been recording with Julianne Regan for their long promised album together! We can tell you it is sounding lush and gorgeous and we are sure you will love it when it does eventually see the light of day. We also know that Julianne and Wayne have settled on a name for the project, Hussey-Regan. “We thought it best to christen it with a name that says what it is on the box so as to avoid any confusion” said Wayne. And Hussey-Regan already have a website domain but the site isn’t yet ready to go live. When it is we’ll let you know all the details.

Although the duo are not working to any deadline Julianne and Wayne are hoping to have the album ready for a release later this year. And at present it’s going by the working title of  “Old, New, Borrowed, & Blue”. We can tell you that we’ve heard a delicious version of Depeche Mode’s ‘Enjoy The Silence’ and a quite radically different and a kind of 80′s German techno version of ‘Duran Duran’s ‘Ordinary World’…We won’t say anymore for the time being but as well as including some surprising covers there will also be a couple of new songs and a cover of a Mission and an All About Eve song. We know that both Julianne and Wayne are very excited at their progress and have enjoyed themselves hugely in the making of this album. More details when we’re allowed to tell you.
